Anti-Vortex Suction Outlet

The effective deployment of fire sprinkler systems for homes and public spaces, like maraes and churches, depends on a clean and even water flow. The Anti-Vortex Suction Outlet from Promax makes this possible.

The anti-vortex suction outlet is commonly used on high-flow suction points to stop cavitation. Cavitation refers to the development of air bubbles in a liquid due to pressure changes. When this occurs, there’s an uneven “stop start, stop start” effect on the water used for fire fighting with the potential to damage the sprinkler equipment.

  • Compliant to Automatic Fire Sprinkler Systems NZS 4541:2013
  • Custom applications are available.
  • Promax supply tanks for firefighting purposes, with a range of capacities depending on your requirements.

The Promax Anti-Vortex Suction Outlet prevents vortex air inclusion when the water is under suction. It is indispensable as a firefighting safety measure, and our industrial team will be happy to explain further how it works.

Please note: This product is available for factory fit only.

Seismic restraints add another layer of safety by acting as a set of anchors for large industrial storage tanks. A series of restraints around the tank's base are bolted into a concrete pad to hold the tank in place and prevent movement during an earthquake or other events, including cyclones and floods. A poly tank set solid and immovable at the base, and with flexibility and durability throughout the rest of the structure, appeals as the safest and most robust option for liquid storage.  Click here to learn more about Seismic restraints.
