Solving A Steep Challenge In Woolleys Bay

Who: Patterson Architects and Samson Construction

Where: Woolleys Bay, Northland

Products: 6x 5000L low-profile Promax water tanks and balancing kits for connectivity

Why: Patterson Architects and Samson Construction collaborated on a beautiful new home in Woolleys Bay in Northland. They required 30,000 litres of fresh water storage for the property but water, like true love, doesn’t always run smooth. There were a few hitches to overcome; a lack of access, space restrictions and a steep site meant a large tank would be unsuitable for this setting. So, they came to Promax for some product advice and smart thinking. Our solution was to give them the same amount of water storage, tank by tank by tank by tank by tank by tank…

What: Promax supplied 6x 5000 litre low-profile Promax water tanks. They were small enough to be easily transported onto the steep and difficult section. Meanwhile, their compact dimensions and low profile (1850mm high compared to 2650mm high for our standard 5000 litre tanks) allowed these tanks to be installed within the piling spacings under the deck, providing clean aesthetics for the property.
Promax balancing kits were used to connect the tanks, giving our clients the storage capacity of one big tank. The result is a new Northland home with plenty of fresh water delivered by compact and discreetly placed tanks. It’s yet another example of how Promax products and Promax innovation work together to overcome the steepest storage challenges.
