Standard Terms & Conditions

These terms are issued by Promax Engineered Plastics Limited “Promax Plastics” and are effective from January 1st 2015. They cover the use of our website – promaxplastics.co.nz.  Use includes visits to our site, purchases on our site, participation in our database and promotions. These terms of use apply to you when you use our website. Please read these terms carefully - if you need to refer to them again they can be accessed from the link at the bottom of any page of our website.

Promax is a New Zealand owned business. We have two factories, one in Rangiora, Canterbury and in Kerikeri, Northland.  This website is owned and operated by Promax Engineered Plastics Ltd. If you wish to contact us please use:

While we endeavour to supply accurate information on this site, errors and omissions may occur. Promax Plastics does not accept any liability, direct or indirect, for any loss or damage which may directly or indirectly result from any advice, opinion, information, representation or omission whether negligent or otherwise, contained on this site. You are solely responsible for the actions you take in reliance on the content on, or accessed, through this site.

Promax Plastics reserves the right to make changes to the content on this site at any time and without notice.

To the extent permitted by New Zealand law, Promax Plastics makes no warranties in relation to the merchantability, fitness for purpose, freedom from computer virus, accuracy or availability of this website or any other website.


2. Ordering goods and services from us

When you place an order with us, you are making an offer to buy goods or services. An order is placed on our website via adding a product to the shopping cart and proceeding through our checkout process. The checkout process includes giving us delivery and any other relevant details for your order.  The final step consists of a confirmation page with full details of your order, which you are able to print as a receipt of your order

We reserve the right to limit the number of an item customers can purchase in a single transaction.

We will send you an email to confirm that we have received and accepted your order, which indicates that your order has been accepted and you may not cancel it.

We will take payment from you when we accept your order at time of checkout on our site.


3. Refusing or cancelling orders

In the unlikely event that the goods or services ordered are no longer available we reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order.

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any orders that we believe, solely by our own judgement, to have been placed fraudulently.

While we endeavour to ensure that the price and description of goods or services is accurate, if there is an error in the process of listing a product or service on our website or a technical error in the processing of your order we reserve the right to refuse or cancel the order.

Our right to cancel orders applies to orders that have been accepted.


4. Returns

To return, please contact us IMMEDIATELY. Goods returned without a return authority form will not be accepted. ALL returns for ANY reason must have a “Return Authority” form completed and approved by Promax in a month from the date of invoice.  A Restocking fee of 15% of invoice value or $100 (whichever is greater) applies for goods returned, unless for reasons attributed to our company.  If non-standard product is supplied, then a restocking fee of 40% shall apply.  A return will also incur a freight charge. Goods purchased more than 1 month is non-returnable.

Please note we must be notified of goods damaged in transit NO later than 2 days after the receipt of goods and all damaged packing must be retained for insurance purposes.  Concealed damage must be notified within 24 hours.


5. Conditions of sale

Interest may be charged and will accrue on all overdue amounts at a rate of 2.5% per month.
Ownership of goods does not pass to the buyer until payment has been made in full.  If payment is not made in full by the due date, Promax has the right to retake possession of the goods.
The liability of Promax for any loss, damage, or injury, arising directly, indirectly, specially, consequentially, or otherwise from any defect in the goods is limited to the replacement or repair of such goods.  Other action in favour of the buyer will be at the option of Promax.
No loss or damage will be covered under warranty unless an official company order is obtained prior to commencement of repairs.
All orders must be confirmed in writing.


6. Payment options

We currently accept the following credit cards:

  • MasterCard
  • American Express


You can also pay using your Farmlands* account and through internet banking.


7. Pricing

All prices listed on www.promax.co.nz are in New Zealand dollars and are inclusive of GST.  Please note that we reserve the right to alter prices on our websites at any time for any reason. Online and in store (through our dealers) pricing may differ.

9. Website and Credit Card Security

Customer login and checkout process is all using encrypted using SSL  (Secure Socket Layer protocol, whereby sensitive information is encrypted to protect your privacy.) This site does not store credit card details and all payments via the site are handled by PaymentExpress which is a secure, PCI compliant, third party. You can help to protect your details from unauthorised access by logging out each time you finish using the site, particularly if you are doing so from a public or shared computer.

For security purposes certain transactions may require proof of identification.


10. Delivery and Delivery Charges

Freight charges per item are quoted at the time of purchase.

11. Delivery Period

Delivery lead time for products may vary.  Deliveries for large items are made to the freight company depot for collection from there.  You will receive an email that confirms that your order has been dispatched.


12. Accessing our service

Other than connecting to Promax Plastics website by HTTP requests using a web browser, you may not gain access to Promax Plastics website servers. You agree not to disrupt, modify or interfere with our websites or services and their associated software, hardware and servers in any way. You also agree not to modify any content or service on the Promax Plastics website. Furthermore, you agree not to use our site in any inappropriate or unlawful way.

Our website is intended to provide information for people shopping our products and accessing our services, including making purchases via our website and registering on our database to receive e-mails from us.
